LIBRARY GIRL
by MICHAEL ROBERT FREDENBURG

LIBRARY GIRL

MINDING MY OWN,
AT A TABLE WITH FRIENDS.
SURROUNDED BY BOOKS,
SIMILAR STORIES- DIFFERENT ENDS
WHEN IN WALKS A DREAM;
TALL, BLONDE AND BRIGHT.
I TRIED NOT TO STARE,
WITH ALL OF MY MIGHT.
BUT OUR BLUE EYES THEY TOUCHED,
PERHAPS LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT.

I HAD TO MOVE NOW,
THE TIMING WAS RIGHT.
A SHORT STROLL ON OVER
TO THE PLACE WHERE SHE SAT.
I WOULD HAVE BEEN NERVOUS,
BUT I WAS WEARING MY HAT.

A MAN ON A MISSION,
ALL SYSTEMS ARE GO.
NOW WHAT TO SAY,
I REALLY DIDN?T KNOW.
SHE LOOKED UP WITH A SMILE,
THEN OFFERED A SEAT.
THIS RADIANT ANGEL,
I WAS HONORED TO MEET.

WE FROLICKED IN SMALL TALK,
WHICH I LIKED ALOT.
SHE THEN SAID HER NAME,
AND YOU KNOW, I FORGOT.
ALTHOUGH THINGS TURNED OUT WELL,
AS YOU SURELY CAN SEE.
BECAUSE LIBRARY GIRL,
IS STILL TALKING TO ME!
