DESTINY'S WAIT
by RODOLFO  GOMEZ

A broken heart, oh, so great,
so many feel, can relate
to the beckoning call
of the desire to fall...

In the arms of love so few know well
the yearning within, a weaving spell,
a heart bursting with passion's thrill,
a sensation wonderous, a mind to fill...

With a knowing feeling
of somewhat stealing
a look, a touch,
of wanting more so much...

Love, a shiny shield,
with a yearning over-yield,
a lonely green grass field
finds a spirit that has kneeled,
and surrendered to its fate.
Destiny will long wait.

For naive eyes
hear not the cry,
a thundering echo,
of love shouting at destiny's door.
