Untittled
by Jillian Marie S

As I sat on the floor,
I watched you do many tricks
on your skateboard.
You were trying so hard
to show off to me,
but you didn't need to
I already liked you
for the person you were inside.

As I sat on the floor,
staring at you on your bike.
Your smile melted my heart.
I couldn't help,
but wish you'd put your
arms around me,
and make everything alright.

As I sat across from you,
I felt the sudden urge to
walk up to you, and cuddle
 close to your heart.
I got up the courage to do it,
as I was sitting by your side
I looked up at you,
you looked down at me,
you smiled,
I smiled back.
That's when I knew everything
was alright.

As I sat on the floor,
watching you pretend
 to flirt with Sarah,
I felt like crying,
but I didn't.

As I stood in front of you,
before we broke up,
I held in my tears
wishing we didn't
have to break up.

As I stood in front of you,
when you were getting
ready to go
I burst into tears.
I had realized that
we were over,
and that I'd never
see you again.

Now I sit here thinking of you.
I know it's over,
but I'll always know
you were my first love.
