Your Life
by Jennifer Lynn Heinrich

Wanting only to be with you
God, Baby, if you only knew
The length I would go to so you are happy
I will try not to be so snappy
I'll be bad, you be good
We both do what we should
Break the chains that hold you down
Running the cold streets of this town
Thuggin' is the life that you choose
Running through your blood like booze
You run hot, you run cold
This life sure grew old
To be with me is what you dream
The streets may rip us at the seam
Hearts together love as one
Drugs again, am I done?
I may try and possibly fail
Don't know if I can ever bail
My love holds my heart to you
Hurting me scares me blue
Living my life scared I will not do
Taking chances and making it through
You are worth all my love
Open up and fly like a dove
