Fading Away
by megan anna creel

It's highly unlikely I'll live to see tomorrow,
I'm not going to look for you to follow,
So don't come after me out of sorrow,
Because I don't want your endless pity,
Just leave me alone, I want to decline,
I don't care if there was an indication or sign,
Leave me to my fading life, I'll be fine
I'll be better off, along with the rest of you,
Don't accuse anyone of my failure,
We all know it was my decision to obscure,
My mess of a life, this is my time to abjure.
