The Sun Shining In
by Melissa  Shea

The coldness of the snow outside
with the warmth of the sun shining in.
The smiles that melt the cold away,
different now... then it was then.

Was it something I said
that made you turn away?
Where once I held you close,
now I'm led astray.

I remember the talk we had
with the leaves falling to the ground.
I thought it made us closer,
but since then I haven't seen you around.

Just when I forget
how beautiful you truly are,
you walk into my life again
and I see you from afar.

It's hard to forget you,
with a charm like no one I've known.
And evertime we say goodbye,
I'm left feeling so alone.

I just don't know what to do anymore
I can't get you out of my mind.
I wish I could move on
and just make everything fine.

Everytime I see that smile
and you make me laugh and stay a while
then before I know it, you are gone
and I'm left sitting in this room
with only the warmth of the sun
