IN THE DARK
by JENNIFER  MUIR

AS I LIE NEXT TO YOU IN THE DARK
WHILE YOU'RE DREAMING PEACEFULLY
I LIE AWAKE AND A THOUGHT COMES TO MY MIND
WHAT IF TOMARROW NEVER COMES FOR ME
WHAT IF I NEVER WAKE
YOU'D NEVER KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU
OR HOW MUCH I TRUELY CARE
AND A TEAR CAME TO MY EYE TO THE THOUGHT OF
NEVER HAVING ONE LAST CHANCE TO KISS YOU
AND A SHARP PAIN CAME TO MY HEART
TO NEVER BEING ABLE TO HOLD YOU IN MY ARMS
AND WITH THIS THOUGHT.....
I WRAP YOU IN MY ARMS,
I KISS YOU SOFTLY ON THE CHEEK
AND WHISPER:
I WILL LOVE YOU ALWAYS AND FOREVER
MORE THAN YOU WILL EVER KNOW.
