Tomorrow
by Michele Therese Jass

In the beginning I didn't want to see it.
It soon became so clear.
All this time I thought I was all yours and you were all mine...
But I came second.
Where were you when I was thinking about you?
Probably with her.
What were you doing when I wanted so badly to hear your voice?
Probably telling her how much you loved her.
Where were your lips when I wanted to feel your kiss?
Probably touching hers.
I can't be second in your life, not forever,
And so I am here to tell you that I have to go.
Please don't try to stop me, it will only make it harder.
I only want to tell you I'll be gone tomorrow.
So hold me once more, kiss me once more,
Tell me you love me once more...
And I will be out of your life forevermore.
