Where Would I be?
by Gemma  Capoccia

Where would I be if I didn't have you
To clarify life when it gets hard to pull through?
& Where would I be if you weren't in my life?
A shoulder to lean on when nothing goes right...

It's completely overwhelming when I try to conceive
All of the happiness that you've given me.
It's clear I'm not perfect but you find that okay,
You make me feel worth it in every single way.
There have been times in my life when I've vowed to give you
But you've known what to say to lift my spirits back up.
You offer me love, you give me protection,
Say all of those things that others don't mention.
From eight years ago, when I first saw your face,
Your genuine heart is what had me embraced.
It was four years of friendship that built a foundation,
And evolved into a love where you proved your dedication.
And each day still feels like something so fresh,
Because of you I've found the strength to give everything my best.
From a boy to a man, I've seen a beautiful evolution
And I'm happy to know I've had some contribution.
Only you and I know, only we understand,
The love that we feel from the touch of a hand.
The power of your voice, the security it brings,
Your words of wisdom help to surpass anything.
Your my best friend, my angel, my heart, my motive,
And my soul can't express it all with this pen.
You found the good within me, you knew it was there
Your determination took me to places only you and I share.
You're the best person I've met in this lifetime,
I'm so grateful I can call you mine.
I can't get enough of you.
I love you.
