Freedom to Love
by Heather  Rene'e

In the silence of my heart,
love is sure to be lost.
So do not try to quiet my vehemence.

Let me be wild and demonstrative
let me feel the warmth of the marvelous sun
let me feel the thunder of the raging storm.

Let my heart speak of the love
of the sadness
of the righteous and wicked...
But please do not try to silence it,
or the love shall surely be lost.

Let my heart scream in the name of hurt
let my heart cry in the name of dejection
let my heart whisper in the name of desire
let my heart speak in the name of love
let it speak of the love I have for you.

Give me freedom to love you
without being afraid of how I feel
and I will love you freely
with everything that I am.
