Not forgotten
by Kate Mary Wickham

You don't know what you have
Until its gone away
Until everything you loved
Can no longer stay

You left me, forever
You left all your friends
I don't know if I can live on
I guess it all depends

Ashes to Ashes
Dust to Dust
Go ahead and leave us
If you really must

You were the best kid, ever
You never even lied
You stayed away from gangs
And you were with me when I cried

You were out at the wrong time
You walked down the wrong street
And now I'm at your funeral
And now your life's complete

You were mistaken for someone
Who looked like you
And now your dead and gone
And there's nothing I can do

Remember, I love you
For you were never rotten
You may be gone
But not forgotten...
Not forgotten

This is for my best friend,
who was killed
