THE DANCE
by William Thomas Kinsey

SHE RELAXES IN HIS ARMS
THIS MOMENT IS JUST RIGHT
THEY STEP INTO THE MUSIC
AND DANCE INTO THE NIGHT

THEY GLIDE, AS THOUGH ON A CLOUD
A MAN, HIS GIRL, A SONG
WALTZING IN THE CANDLE LIGHT
SHE SOFTLY HUMS ALONG

DANCING IN AND OUT OF DREAMS
THE FEELING IS SUBLIME
LOST IN THOUGHT, LOST IN LOVE
AND ALSO LOST IN TIME

THE MAN, HIS GIRL, THE MOMENT
WRAPPED IN MUSIC SOFT AND LIGHT
THEY GENTLY HOLD EACH OTHER
AND DANCE ON INTO THE NIGHT
