broken pieces
by iyyah  iyyah

i taste broken pieces
of your being everyday.
i dance and cry and stump
and fight in disheveled disarray.

if someone asks me, "why?",
i'd probably sigh and say,
"in the midst of our sprouting love,
i chased all hope away."
