Never again
by Leslie Anne O'Malley

How could those sweet lips,
that once swept over mine,
                       ... be gone?

Oh God, I will never taste that magic again.
How could your touch- soft, like angel's breath,
                       ... be gone?

Oh God, by your hands, I will never feel
that elecrticity course through me again.
How could your strong embrace,
the one that instilled me
with security and warmth,
                       ... be gone?

Oh God, to concieve the pain
of your absent embrace,
tears my soul to shreds-
To know I will never have you again.

How could the one who looked into my eyes
and promised me tomorrows
filled with forever love... have lied?

Oh God, I will never hear
those words, from the only man
I have ever loved... ever again.
