Mother (Soothe My Rain)
by Jill Renee' Lamonte

Leave the light on-
Demons only dance in the dark

Sit by my side,
Don't go until I'm under...
Pieces of the past
Keep me afraid

But your love keeps me strong
And drowns out the thunder-
Place your hand on my face
And wipe the world away

Unless I have you
Here to cradle me
I'll live my life in pain...
Sing me to sleep

Scatter out the stars-
You keep this light
Inside my heart...
Soothe the rain

Calm my tears
Smother my fears-
Mother, soothe my rain
