Chuckie
by Kat Lou Groves

Chuckie...
When you're not around, I'm sad,
you don't know this but I'm feeling bad.
before I met you, I was so blue,
then came the day I fell in love with you.
my family is falling apart,
but you have shown me that, in your heart,
you will always love me.

Chuckie...
I use drugs every day,
it helps the pain go away.
the pain of abuse and of rape.
I hate my life,
I'm in so much strife.
but you'll always be there for me.

Chuckie...
I thought about taking my life,
slitting my wrists with a knife.
I thought about you,
how I loved you, so true.
I couldn't do it because you
were always by my side.

Chuckie...
my life is worth living,
because of your giving
and I just want to thank you.
