You Are My Marmalade
by   Eurlantae

You're the marmalade on my life's toast.
You're the fresh cream in my 'Cuppa Joe'.
You're the popcorn's POP and the apple's crunch.
You make my toes curl!

Oh, what a culinary delight you are.
Oh, what a melody, to me.
You chime the morning fresh and bright.
You warm my evening's candleglow.

Without you here my life would drag,
Dry toast and bitter coffee drawn.
The grass in morn' would splash my feet.
The lights of night? but embers be.
