MY WISH
by FAY SHAW OWENS-KINSEY

SO COOL, THE EVENING BREEZES
THE DAY IS SLOWING DOWN
THE SUN BEGINS IT'S LAZY FADE
NIGHTFALL GATHERS ALL AROUND

SHADOWS GROWING EVER LONGER
TO END ANOTHER DAY
DAY LIGHT TURNS TO DARKNESS
THE NIGHT HAS FOUND IT'S WAY

HERE IT COMES, A TIRED OLD MOON
SLOWLY RISING FROM AFAR
YOU'RE WELCOME HERE OLD TIMER
WHERE IS MY FAVORITE STAR

THE ONE I MAKE THE WISHES ON
TO FIND A LOVE THAT'S TRUE
THE ONE I HAVE TO WAIT ON
TILL THE SKY'S NO LONGER BLUE

HEAR ME NOW, I BEG YOU
AND SEND TO ME MY LOVE
MAKE IN HIM A DREAM COME TRUE
AND BLESS ME WITH HIS LOVE

QUICK, BEFORE THE NIGHT IS GONE
FOR IT'S YOU WHO HOLDS THE KEY
GRANT MY WISH, I BEG YOU
AND SEND MY LOVE TO ME
