Love Song
by C. Vernon Crumrine, Jr.

Never but a dream away
I feel your heartbeat
hammer my every thought
into sweet memories...

for you plant Heaven deep
within my soul; buried
with a longing that shimmers
like virginal rain...

and you become the April
that stills the winter chill;
the dew that mists the budding rose;
the light that splits the night.
