Ode To Love
by Arup Kumar Amulya

In endless words of verses sung
I flow out from this self of mine
From having on my haven hung
Thy wat'ry robes of pale divine
Floating beneath the heaven's tongue

Then taverns from thy laughter rose
That made me roam in priceless glee
Having forgotten homely rows
And a drunken wanderer be
To wake in even's dreamful doze
From easeful slumber's eternity

This soul has then so fainter grown
To sunken lie in streams of bliss
From snowy marbl'd glaciers borne
Of cheeks that stars may burn to kiss
Then die in an immortal peace alone
And die to breathe in envied ease
