Force of Nature
by Robert Barton Rushing

She is a force of nature
there's nothing that can stop her
when I see her unfiltered and raw
I can only stare in awe

Her passion is a heatwave
with no relief in sight
I can only cave
blistering heat a fright

And when she looks at me
she's all I can see
my stomach swirls and sways
I ride a hurricane

Her beauty rivals any sight
any natural vision
sunsets, rainbows, and northern lights
pale in comparison

I am a lover of nature
and all of nature's sights
but nothing stacks up to her
and the beauty in her eyes

She is the sudden desert windstorm
that catches me by surprise
the glory of natural beauty
shines in her eyes

The sudden tempest on the Galilee
that tosses mighty ships
is nothing if you ask me
when compared to her lips

Many a year I traveled
in many a far-flung place
yet, I never saw a single thing
as pretty as her face

Sunrise is in her left hand
and sunset in her right
double rainbows about her by day
and shooting stars by night

My eyes are doubly blessed
because they have beheld her
my soul got its rest
the moment I first held her
