True Love
by Jordan Tyler Quinn

A truer love never there was,
Never would there a truer love be.
Two souls intertwined, coupled as one,
Heart bared, torn open for all the world to see.
Two halves that would surely make the divine again whole,
He the roots and she the branches of that sacred old tree.

True love at the first sight,
Something I never believed.
For how quickly the heart-strings,
Can be fast pulled and deceived.
I know now that this is not the case,
For how swiftly have these dreams
So easily flitted down and come to me,

Oh how deeply they've planted these seeds.
As I now embrace this love,
It takes root and it grows,
And regardless of whatever else,
This loving may be achieved.

A truer love never there was,
Or ever would there a truer love be.
Two souls intertwined, coupled as one,
Heart bared, torn open for all the world to see.
Two halves that would surely make the divine again whole,
He the roots and she the branches of that sacred old tree.

From this garden of blooming love,
I could never find any reason to leave.
For now it is only her own sweet breath,
That my lungs do wish or care to breathe.
The presence of this woman alone is enough,
To make this heart of mine skip to a faster beat.

Her essence alone I know is an infinity of blessings,
So many that my souls can't help but to cry out and bleed.
And never a more pleasing death
Of this former ego do I believe,
That in all of my wildest dreams
I could ever have even conceived.

And a truer love never there was,
Or ever would there a truer love be.
Two souls intertwined, coupled as one,
Heart bared, torn open for all the world to see.
Two halves that would surely make the divine again whole,
He the roots and she the branches of that sacred old tree.
