I Miss You
by Jared Kipkosgei Lagat

Today I sat down under our tree,
My memory ran back to you,
It was here where we sat
As we cherished our love.
I won't forget your smiles,
I won't forget your giggles,
I remember all your pretenses
And won't forget your own exclamations.
I will run to our promises,
I will run to our meaningful promises;
We kept them all
But others were jokes.
I will smile inside my heart,
There I think of you;
Are you still my best?
