Lighter then air
by Ali Stone
My gift is so light its like cotton candy.
So sweet and so soft it flows just like brandy.
It floats around like a helium balloon.
So fun and light as it wafts into the room.
It ponders what caused this existence of mine
The sheer and utter happiness It feels is sublime.
Not a care in the world, nor a static thought.
It slowly and gently unties the knot.
Higher and faster it climbs to the electric blue stars.
It reaches the heavens, becomes intertwined, and now ours.
Two stars that collided and became a pair.
The gift that it shared is now lighter then air.
