Ivy leaves
by Helmut Nomiddlename Raulien

Ivy leaves are growing up my spine
all these leaves inside me, that were mine
are making weird excuses
to fall into this lap of yours, my lover,
who has obsessed my mind.

And every day is wearing white
spinning all around me with a smile
And drowning are the things that were,
they will not come back
and I don?t care.

Open road, anarchic rhyme,
I feel the rhythm of the rain and of the
sunshine,
I sense the stopping of the pain,
I see the clear light of your eyes,
as they meet mine.

The sky is blue and young birds sing,
and you are opening your heart, are opening your arms
I?ve the feeling, you are just about to rearrange my brain,
and, that you?re, just unknowingly,
deleting all the pain

Ivy leaves are growing up my spine
all these leaves inside me, that were mine
are making weird excuses
to fall into this lap of yours, my lover,
who has obsessed my mind.
