The One I've Loved
by Mi  Singh

My face is buried in my hands;
My cheeks are stained with tears.
Thoughts of you consume me so;
I'm overcome by fears.

'Twould devastate the man I love
Whose children I have borne.
The grief I feel I cannot bear;
My soul, for now, is torn.

How could I choose to go astray?
Betray his love, so true?
Dear God, I pray he never knows
The one I've loved is you.

Why do I dare to risk it all?
The answer I can't find.
I only know with each new day
You're ever on my mind.

O, that I and I alone
Could fulfill your fantasies--
The sultry devil you desire,
The angel that you need.

Alas! I must accept our fate--
Brief moments far too few.
Be assured and ne'er forget
The one I've loved is you.
