I?ll never cook for you, chicken in chili
With snow white maize meal and sweet greens

I?ll never massage your back after a long day
Rub your body in oils, head to toe

I?ll never dance for you in dim-lit light
Take you by hand, show you how I move

I?ll never wash your body in a warm water tub
Soak you fully in fragrant soaps, slowly

I?ll never buy you the sleek brown wallet
Put a few notes in and our little one?s picture

I?ll never give you the card I made
Beautifully crafted with my time and sweat

I?ll never get you the beige safari boots
Six white vests, boxers and some handkerchiefs

I?ll never set you a candle lit dinner
Dress up gorgeous and wait 'till you get home

I?ll never tell you the funny stories
Sit you up; spend your time with memories

I?ll never have you like I wished I would
Take control of you till morning light

I?ll never do any of these beautiful acts
You left, I hurt... and we won?t be together again
