I thought there was no one there to understand,
I thought there was no one to turn to,
Then I opened my heart and invited You in
and You helped to guide me through.

When I was alone and sinking,
drowning in the storm,
You wrapped Your love around me,
You kept me safe and warm.

When my world was crumbling
and I was lost and losing ground,
I invited You into my heart
and You turned my life around.

You gave me hope and strength
and You washed away the pain,
Now the sunlight shows
because You cleared away the rain.
