Ocean of Pain
by Katrina  Collins

floating alone in an ocean of tears
brought in by heartbreak over the years
almost as bitter as it is dark
the water makes suffering into such art
filled with grief and encompassed by lies
it's keeping me vulnerable; it's myself I despise
I am defeated, love breached by disgust
blaming no others, but forsaking their trust
my thoughts are so lonely and lost and demented
hopes busted and shattered and raspberry scented
destined and cursed to misery it seems
accompanied by heartache and old broken dreams
