Raging Eyes

By: Ashley M. Williams

The violence raging in your eyes...
your heart pounding like a drum...
miles away others can feel your hatred!
I speak to you,
but the hate drowns me out!
I watch you with love,
but the hurt blocks it from you.

Your hands tighten and redden in a fist.
Your words are austere.
You don't look at me
with love and appeasement,
but with hate and regret.
So many words that should be spoken
to ease the pain and violence...

One night, one person,
and our love is gone.
What I said didn't matter...
What I did, you didn't care...
So many words that should be spoken
to ease the pain and voience...
but it all does not matter now.
