Draw me In

By: Robert Barton Rushing

Your heat draws me
as the lodestone draws iron,
inexorably pulling
without end.

Your touch,
it holds me
like the sun holds earth in its orbit,
inescapable as gravity
and as overpowering.

Your skin
pulls me,
pulls me in.
I must reach out,
I must touch you,
must embrace you,
must cling to you.
like the morning dew clings to new grass
I must love you,
