A Night In The Darkness

By: Amber Richardson

Like an angel in the darkness,
you spread your light.
Your wings shoot up as if nothing can defeat you;
you are ready for a fight.

Your halo turns black
As your wings dissolve.
Too good to be true,
I knew you'd be back.

A night with you is like a night in the torture chambers of hell.
And suddenly you grow some horns,
and a scarlet tail.

Can anybody hear me,
for I am in distress.
This is what it's like,
a night in the darkness.
