On The Day Of Your Dying

By: Susan Patricia Dixon

Words of anger I did speak
On the day of your dying
And the tears did hit their peak
On the day of your dying

And my heart did pierce a shout
And caused my soul to stumble 'bout
Leaving my body week and cold
On the day of your dying

My heart did, so, put up a shield
On the day of your dying
And my soul screamed, "YIELD, PLEASE YIELD"
On the day of your dying

And my heart did sing a sad song
And my soul screamed, "YOU DID ME WRONG!"
And my sorrow did fall so strong
On the day of your dying
