Crash

By: Desiree Joy Slotter

The day you slammed that door
and left me to to sort through all your things
and cry even more
was the day my world crashed.
You see, my baby boy, you were my world.
Your kiss was the gentle breeze in the wind.
Your hug was my security and my protection against the wild.
Your brightness was my sunshine.
But most of all, you were the air I breathed.
You see, baby, with one small crash, my heart is now dead.
I no longer have a world to live for.
