I lost my heart in a storm

By: Jacinda aka Para-Dice G. Hayes

The drops against the pane,
tears fall with the rain.
Tears- heavy with guilt.
Guilty- the destroyed body we built

The storm grows STRONGER
I will endure l o n g e r

Thunder, booming- loud- clear:
my broken heart, barely beating within my ear.
Lightning flashes- so very bright:
my mind flashes~ you together in my sight.
The wind uprooting trees:
The pain knocking me off my feet.

Slowly the storm fades... disappears;
debris of our memories scattered everywhere near.

The storm... GONE- so are you
Ironicall... my heart is, too.
