LAST NIGHT YOU WERE IN MY DREAMS
I said a prayer-
For you- to be mine.
Than I said another two,
Wishing I would dream of you.
I pulled you, close to me,
and held your hand.
But all the same, just a game.
I am not good at: "Pretend."
Then something happened,
Last night...
You were in my dreams again,
By mistake- I called your name.
I see sunrise-
Upon the mountain,
I try to reach you,
But you are not there.
I see your face,
Far in the distance,
I try to sing to you,
But you cannot hear.
I feel you sleeping
Upon my pillow,
I open my eyes, to see you.
But, there is just- an empty space.
I hear your heartbeat,
Next to my heart,
I try to feel it,
But: "To no avail."
Snowflakes are falling
Softly, upon my window,
I try to reach you,
But you are far away.
I feel your eyes-
Gazing into mine deeply,
I feel mesmerised,
But you are not near.
I feel your lips-
Softly touching mine.
I cry out loud...
The feeling is divine.
I feel your footsteps,
Coming my way,
Eyes closed...
How much more, can I feel?
I feel your love
Coming to me-
Thru the distance, and it is real.
Oh, yes...I could feel!
