Watercolor

By: Enrique Alberto Hurtado Minotta

Already, a long time ago, I colored the watercolor
of your being in the magic world of my loneliness,
and I hung it up in a sunny afternoon
at the infinite wall of my soul.

I painted on it, the smile you gave
to the boy that every night, anxious, waited for you,
to flatter the immaculate fire of your eyes,
when crossing the solitary corner of his street.

I captured in it the silent beauty of the forest
after a rainy day,
to tinge the green sadness of your dreamer eyes
with the beauty of the lost sunsets.

Already, a long time ago, I wrote in my heart
the most beautiful of my verses-made-paintings,
and, lonely, it spoke of you and your beautiful figure.

Already, a long time ago, I colored the watercolor
of your soul on the night of my solitude,
and from then on, every time I name you...
day is made!
