Goodbye
You called me names, you made me cry;
But then we changed in the blink of an eye.
You said you were sorry and wanted to be friends;
Who would've known it would last till the end.
As we got older my feelings grew;
And then you said you loved me too.
We grew closer and closer, more each day;
Nobody ever loved me that way.
As time passed by we laughed and smiled;
We even got married and had a child.
As he grew older you loved him so much;
He grew up so fast, it was all too rushed.
Then out of the blue, you got so sick;
I couldn't believe it happened so quick.
One night in bed you started to cry;
You told me you loved me, I didn't know why.
That night God said it was your time to go;
Why he took you from us I'll never know.
