Truly Sweet and Pure

By: A. Greco

My eyes met with yours
Sending a sharp signal down my spine.
It was a dark, cool night
And each time I passed into your presence
My blood flowed warmer.
Scared to even say, Hi
Never have we truly spoken.
Would it be a sin
To tell you my passion
That keeps this soul locked away
Awaiting your key and touching embrace?
It’s hard for me to see you
Without becoming weak in the knees.
You possess a power over me.
Whether I am alone in this or not
I have to tell you
And share my feelings.
I need to start this
Because I know it could be
Truly sweet and pure.
