Untrue Love
How can a person be so wrong
About someone they love ,
How can a person go so long
And never know what love is of .
Love can hurt when you're not loved back
It makes you wonder why ,
What is it that you lack
And why does it make you cry .
It's not the love that causes pain
or what breaks your heart ,
Not being loved back will drive you insane
And holds the sting of a dart .
I have loved and felt the pain
That burns deep in your soul ,
I felt like I was on a speeding train
That said I had to let you go .
But my love is still there
'cause I had given you my heart ,
I thought you loved me and cared
But you didn't and that's what tore us apart .
