No Need To Travel Further

By: H F D

As stars reign in their celestial gaze
I wait for daybreak
- so small against this lightening sky.

Do weary travelers note this changing light
The mark of passing days, with no direction known
Familiar with that endless journey
Now, at long last, I am home.

All unfamiliar paths are gone
A new road straight and true beneath my feet
No backward gazes, there are none
Only your love there to meet.

Guided by the truest heart
I will not wander on this path
This early dawn has lit my way
And led me home, to you
At last.
