Dying Love

By: Jeffrey Joseph Kazmierczak

This burden lies heavy
On these shoulders of mine
When the light in my life
Is ceasing to shine

Thinking about it
Makes the hurt grow so strong
I wish I could go back
And right every wrong

My Love is now angry
With what she herself knows
And my heart's been torn open
By the thorns of the rose

Love is a strange thing
It is seen through bright eyes
But resisting is futile
When love wants to die

To where can I go
And who can I turn
For a shoulder to cry on
Because I still love you

You said it yourself
Love is not everythng
Yet, in the life that I lead
Love rules like a king

But what can be done
When push comes to shove
What can be done to
Save a dying love...
