And so she is safe
You stroke her pale face
And kiss her cheeks
And so she sleeps
You whisper to her when she wakes
So she dreams only of you
You kiss her eyes
And her tears evaporate
You take her hand
And so she can conquer the world
You smile at her
And her day is filled with light and laughter
You laugh with her
And her heart smiles

And she sings with you -with all of her soul
You take her away when it becomes too much
And so she is sheltered from the torrents
You watch her move
And she is onstage for you
You look into her eyes
And so she knows where heaven is
You lift her above the sky
And so she knows what it is to fly
