He Took You Away
God saw that he was tired
and a cure was not to be.
So, he put his arms around him,
and whispered "come with me".
With tearful eyes, I watched
him suffer and fade away.
Although I loved him dearly,
I knew he couldn't stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
A determined soul at rest.
God broke my heart to prove to me
That he only takes the best.
