As I Sit

By: Charlotte Ann White

As I sit looking out this window
rain drops slowly resemble
my tears for you...
My loneliness, on fire inside of me
awaiting your kiss to make it desist.

Confusion sets in and
once again I am pain stricken.
The rage inside me,
dying to be let loose
and destroy my broken heart.

As I sit by this window,
raindrops slowly resemble
my fears for you.
A fear like no other has consumed
my heart and soul.

Slowly I start to tremble,
as I sit by this window,
waiting once again to feel your
warm, secure embrace.
