Throughout The Silent Night
by bobby  bains

Throughout the silent night
I remembered you,
moonlight flooded the sky
from horizon to horizon,
the moon reflected
your image again and again.

Light from the lamp of silence
flickered all night
sometimes bright,
at times- dim.
A fragrance kept changing
its dwelling place,
a nightingale kept singing
for a rose
throughout the silent night...

Again the mist
under the shadow of a rose
continued narrating
a story from times forgotten.
Each moment
I kept calling someone
who never came.
A hope
kept the heart going,
maybe it was
a desire that
kept the heart troubling
throughout the silent night...
