To Mom and all her kind
by robert santellana acosta

The feminine spirit embraces,
Kissing nose to nose.
Whispering sweet voices,
Lifting me into the light.

The gentle world guides,
Approving and reproving,
Causing love; fear.
Affection; reaction.

Maternal hands touch...
Crying at heartbreaks,
Smiling with experience,
Seeing us grow.

The goddess marries me,
Bearing a child;
Swinging in a circle,
Lifting them into the light.
