JOHN JONES
by FERN OLIVIA DAVIS

I HAVE MY BOY, JOHN. HE IS SILLY BUT STILL MY BABY.
I THINK OF HIM WHENEVER I HEAR, "SWEET LADY."
HE IS MY AIR I BREATH THAT KEEPS ME MOVING.
WITH HIM I AM ALWAYS WINNING, NEVER LOSING.

THE TOUCH OF YOUR HAND MAKES MY BODY SHAKE,
I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE KISS, I BET THE EARTH WILL QUAKE.
YOU'RE SWEET KIND AND AT THE SAME TIME DEEP,
YOU'RE WHO I DREAM OF AT NIGHT WHEN I SLEEP.

THIS THING WE'VE GOT IS REAL; MY FEELINGS I CAN'T CONTROL
YOU'VE GOT A MIND OF SILVER AND A HEART OF GOLD,
MY FEELINGS FOR YOU ARE MUCH TO PRECIOUS.
FORGET THE PEOPLE IN THE STREETS, DON'T LET THEM COME BETWEEN US.

I'M DIGGING YOU LIKE AN OPEN GRAVE.
WHEN I AM AROUND YOU I DON'T KNOW HOW TO BEHAVE.
I'M YOUR BOO, AND YOU'RE MINE,
NOT JUST IN FEBRUARY, BUT YEAR ROUND YOU'RE MY SWEET VALENTINE.

BOY, YOU JUST ABOUT HAVE ME GONE;
YOU'VE GOT IT GOING ON.
FORGET THE LOVE JONES,
'CAUSE I GOT THE JOHN JONES.
