Lying awake in bed at night,
Picturing the day I'll hold you tight,
Holding you close to feel your beating heart,
Finally together after all these years apart...

Kissing and hugging and holding each other close,
You're my only love, the one who matters most,
Looking deep into your dark and beautiful eyes,
While I hold you in my arms, under the starry skies.

Then I fall asleep and began to dream of you
Walking along the beach with me, like couples do,
Lying on the sand, and watching the sun go down,
To finally be alone with you, there is no one else around.

It all seems so perfect, it all seems so right,
But it's only in my dreams that I get to hold you tight.
If only you felt the love for me that I feel for you,
I could let go of these dreams... but until then,
I guess they'll have to do.
