Unquestionable
by S. Hall Zilla

This love I have for you,
Defies questioning or reason.
No, when... where... how much... or why,
No special time or season.

It's just there.
A constant in my life of confusion.
A constant that will never die,
never need transfusion.

I don't know from whence it sprung,
just how it came to be,
It just was... it just is... and will always be.

To deny it - is futile,
To ignore it - impossible,
To wish away - a lie.

Acknowledgment and respect is the only offering it will accept.
And reward with a small measure of peace.
So, I give up, I acquiesce, I concede
to a higher and greater need.

I breathe, I feel, I see, I touch, I bleed, I need...
I LOVE YOU.
